Before & After

It's so rare that we get Before and After photos, and it's so much fun to see the result of a well executed room makeover that includes some of our furniture.

Deborah Bauman, of Bauman Design Associates, working with clients outside of Philadelphia, approached us early in the fall with some ideas for new occasional tables to spruce up a living room. The sofas had just been purchased, and the coffee and end tables needed replacing to make it all work.

Here's the before:

The combination of tables didn't work with the sofas, and somehow, that Eames chair just didn't fit. And the clients love their Eames chair. And who can blame them?

We worked with Deborah to design tables that were large enough to anchor the big, leather sofas, but not too overpowering for a mid-sized room. There were some arts and crafts elements in the room, but the client didn't want hard mission lines. And Deborah really liked the idea of using the hammered copper that we feature in some of our designs.

With a couple of soft curves, and some warm cherry, the room has a whole new look and we really like it. But most importantly, the clients love it.

Let's look at that again from a different angle. The only things that change are the tables and the lamps.

From mismatch...to magic. Voila.
